Help Form the Next Generation
Every day at Mount St. Michael Catholic School, children encounter truth, beauty, goodness, and the love of Christ.
They learn to read closely, think carefully, speak clearly, choose responsibly, serve generously, and recognize the gifts God has placed within them. They are taught by educators who understand that teaching is more than a profession. It is a vocation.
Tuition makes this work possible, but it does not cover its full cost.
The generosity of parents, alumni, grandparents, parishioners, foundations, businesses, and friends allows MSMCS to sustain excellent teachers, strengthen faith formation, provide meaningful financial assistance, care for its campus, and preserve the programs that make the school distinctive.
Your gift is more than a contribution to an institution. It is an investment in the formation of children whose lives can bring truth, courage, service, and hope into the world.
Why Give?
Why Give?
Because Formation Matters
Education always shapes more than what a child knows. It influences what the child loves, how the child thinks, the choices the child makes, and the kind of person the child becomes.
MSMCS exists to partner with families in that work of formation.
Our mission is to form students in courageous virtue grounded in the truth of Christ: to reason clearly, to choose morally, and to serve faithfully.
A gift to MSMCS helps ensure that children receive an education in which faith and reason belong together. Academic excellence serves a greater purpose, and every student is called toward a life of wisdom, virtue, and faithful service.
Because Tuition Does Not Cover the Full Cost
MSMCS intentionally sets tuition below the full cost of educating each student.
For the 2026–27 school year, the school estimates that the full cost of educating one student is approximately $10,500. Published tuition remains below that amount.
This creates a gap that must be met through annual giving, fundraising, grants, and the generosity of the school community.
Gifts to the annual fund help provide the resources students and teachers need now without placing the entire cost on tuition-paying families.
MSMCS ANNUAL FUND
GOAL: $100,000
Because Access Matters
A family’s ability to pay full tuition does not determine the potential of its children or the strength of its commitment to Catholic education.
Financial assistance helps mission-aligned families consider MSMCS when tuition would otherwise place the school beyond their reach.
Gifts designated for tuition assistance can help:
- Welcome families from a wider range of economic circumstances.
- Support students during an unexpected family hardship.
- Preserve continuity for children whose circumstances change.
- Strengthen a community built around shared faith and purpose rather than income alone.
Financial-assistance awards are administered according to school policy and demonstrated need.
Because Teachers Matter
Students remember teachers who saw them clearly, challenged them appropriately, and lived what they taught.
Philanthropic support can help MSMCS:
- Recruit and retain mission-aligned faculty.
- Provide meaningful professional formation.
- Strengthen Montessori and classical teaching expertise.
- Equip teachers with high-quality materials.
- Support faculty spiritual development.
- Recognize excellence and commitment.
- Provide resources beyond the limits of the operating budget.
Investing in teachers multiplies the effect of every other gift because excellent educators influence students every day.
Because Distinctive Programs Require Resources
Montessori materials, classical texts, sacred spaces, agricultural studies, outdoor classrooms, livestock, gardens, apiary equipment, athletics, arts, student activities and services require ongoing care and investment.
These programs are not ornamental additions. They help students encounter ideas, develop habits, take responsibility, exercise creativity, serve others, and experience wonder.
Giving allows MSMCS to preserve and strengthen the experiences that distinguish the school.
Because the Campus Serves the Mission
The MSMCS campus gives children room to learn, worship, move, explore, cultivate, care for animals, spend time in nature, and build community.
Facilities require continuing maintenance, repair, safety improvements, and thoughtful development. Gifts to approved campus priorities help ensure that the physical environment remains safe, welcoming, functional, and worthy of the formation taking place within it.
Because the Campus Serves the Mission
The value of a gift is not measured only by its size.
Broad participation demonstrates that families, alumni, and friends believe in the mission and are willing to share responsibility for its future. A community in which many people give according to their means is stronger than one sustained by only a few.
We ask each donor to give thoughtfully, prayerfully, and with confidence that faithful generosity can bear fruit far beyond what is visible today.

Other Giving Options
- Give Through a Donor-Advised Fund
Donors may recommend a grant to MSMCS through a donor-advised fund. Please ask the sponsoring organization to include your name and contact information so MSMCS can acknowledge the gift properly.
- Give Appreciated Stock or Securities
A gift of appreciated stock or other marketable securities may provide tax advantages while supporting the mission of MSMCS. Do not transfer securities until you have received the school’s current transfer instructions. Please notify MSMCS of the donor’s name, the security being transferred, the approximate number of shares, and the intended designation.
- Request an Employer Matching Gift
Many employers match charitable contributions made by employees, retirees, or family members. A matching gift may double—or sometimes increase further—the impact of your contribution.
- Include MSMCS in Your Estate Plan
A planned gift can help sustain the mission of MSMCS for generations. Because charitable, estate, and tax circumstances differ, donors should consult their legal and financial advisers before making a planned gift. MSMCS does not provide legal or tax advice.
- Maximize Your Giving Through Your IRA
For those who must take a RMD, donating directly from your IRA to a qualified charity may reduce your tax liability. Please check with your tax professional.
- Give Through a Foundation, Business, or Organization
Businesses, family foundations, community foundations, parishes, and other organizations can support MSMCS. Organizations interested in a grant, sponsorship, or strategic partnership should contact the Development Office before submitting or designating a gift.

Funding Priorities
Stewardship and Accountability
Generosity deserves responsible stewardship.
MSMCS is committed to:
- Using gifts in accordance with donor intent and school policy.
- Communicating honestly about needs and priorities.
- Protecting donor information.
- Acknowledging gifts promptly.
- Providing appropriate tax documentation.
- Reporting meaningful impact.
- Maintaining financial oversight.
- Declining gifts that cannot be used responsibly or that would compromise the school’s mission.
Your Generosity Bears Fruit
A book placed in a child’s hands. A teacher receiving the formation needed to become even more effective. A family able to remain in a community it loves. A chapel prepared for prayer. A garden cultivated. A classroom strengthened. A student discovering a gift that will be used in service to others.
These are not isolated expenses. They are parts of a larger work: helping children become the people God created them to be.
Thank you for believing in that mission and for considering how you might participate.
